Halloween Camping 2019 πŸ•

It’s that time of year again for our annual Halloween camping trip! πŸ‘»

Our family looks forward to this trip every year. We were lucky enough to get invited to join in on this friend tradition a few years ago & have been going every year ever since! Camping is such a fun way to celebrate the fall season. πŸπŸ‚

Night time bike rides, daytime crafts, pumpkin races, Saturday night dinner & Sunday morning breakfast pot luck keeps the entire family interested and having fun, especially as the kids grow older. This year, it was our turn to bring a fun daytime craft. We created sugar scrubs from scratch! The kids had fun creating their own signature scents and some created scrubs for their family members too! We found and used this recipe (ingredients for sugar scrub are below): Easy Hand Body Sugar Scrub

This was the first year we did pumpkin races instead of a carving contest & it was a total hit! πŸŽƒEveryone brought their A game! For our racer, we created a Maleficent pumpkin (since we just saw the new movie last weekend). She didn’t take home the grand prize,  but she did hold her own & she looked soooo cute! We had a blast cheering on all the pumpkins & it was so fun seeing all the creativity.

Saturday night we had a fun lasagna dinner with fabulous desserts & ended the day with friends around the fire. Sunday morning is always the saddest days because all the fun is coming to an end, but we enjoyed a great breakfast, bike rides & pack up! Till next year! I highly suggest camping during the fall season, as it brings family & friends together for the holiday season.

Here are some pictures of our fun, fall friends weekend. Enjoy! πŸ‘»πŸπŸŽƒπŸ‚ - Leslie
